Game was fun despite its short play time. Build up was good and on point. Only critique if any was the monster [refer to video], just found he went down to quick, even if he disappeared and reappeared like a stage boss, but to be fair I'm nit picking a little. Hope to see more games! GG!
Liked the creature and woods section a lot. I feel like with some small changes the intro/outro could have felt much more immersive and been a tad more visually interesting. Love the sunset colours a lot. https://youtu.be/nD3n3MTF5uY
Im guessing this game is based on the rake and i love it despite it being really short keep up the good work i played your game second likes and views are much appreciated
This one got me more than I'd like to admit! Great story! How could you kill a guy just wanting to talk about his beans, though, man! That's low... Seriously, though, great work, can't wait to see more!
This game is among top horror games in itch.io, can I ask how did you market your game?, and gathered an audience, cuz I wanna make a horror game but I don't seem to get the idea of getting downloads or clout. I thought might just ask a successful person to gather information for my game.
Thanks a lot for playing. Marketing... it's pain in the ass(kinda). So for people to play your game, you will hear everywhere that you have to build audience and it's true. I frequently posted on twitter about game dev progress and that type of stuff(about my game), sometimes posted on reddit and that's it for my social media. Build a audience and post to people who like similar stuff as you(so like horror stuff and/or PSX style), gotta have a target audience. Interact with other devs on twitter comment and just honestly like and interact with stuff you like. Use proper #hastags like indiedev and similar(go look what type of hastags to use or use same as I use or other game devs), post everyweek on #screenshotsaturday or something like that and #followfriday theres that # for every day in week, and post with that hashtags and repost your tweet to other posts that give a space for you to share. Don't JUST market, cause people will tell that you only want to sell them something. You have to be genuine and yourself. When I published my game i sent a short and honest post/message to couple of game dev discords, posted on twitter, posted on every game dev subreddit that I am and that's it. I did messages first, published the game and then started just clicking post on everything. It might be a mess hope you will understand, here's a accouple of links that might be helpful:
That's basically what I did and do. Also just google, search on YouTube and find on reddit "How to promote a game" and you will find pretty good stuff, stuff that I watched and learned from.
